Ingredients
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup cooked, mashed pumpkin
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp ginger
1 cup chopped walnuts

Method
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and pumpkin until light and fluffy. Stir in vanilla. Measure flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, allspice and ginger and mix in bowl. Stir into creamed mixture to make a rather soft cookie dough. Stir in nuts. Spoon out onto greased cookie sheets, about 2 inches apart in rounded tspfuls. Bake at 375F for 12-15 minutes. Remove while hot onto rack. Cool slightly; spoon glaze over cookies while still warm.
Pumpkin Glaze Recipe: Stir together 1 1/4 cups un-sifted powdered sugar, 2 tbsp soft butter or margarine, 1 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp allspice. Blend in about 3 tbsp mashed pumpkin to make a smooth glaze.
